Farmers protest movement

Farmers protest movement is a movement by farmers as an expression of protest against the behavior or any policy pursued by the colonial government and private land authorities.

The emergence of resistance among farmers caused by:
a. The farmers hated the enforcement of tax collections.
b. The rulers imposing arbitrary, such as the farmers who do not pay taxes, the land, the house, and the ox shall be confiscated.
c. The practice of slavery and forced labor, such as the obligation to bring the harvest from the fields to the barn ruler with the distance far enough without remuneration.
d. The existence of forced labor in plantations and factories.
e. The farmers are very sick of watching the luxuries of life shown by the employer, for example, often hold parties.
f. The desire to restore the glory, prosperity, and tranquility of life as it was before the arrival of foreign rulers.
g. The emergence of courage against the ruling because the movement is believed to be protected queens fair that will free them from the misery of life.

a. in Ciomas under the leadership Arpan in 1886.
b. in Condet (Jakarta), under the leadership Entong Fat, Maliki, and Modin in 1916.
c. in Tangerang led by Kaiin and Sairin in 1924.
d. in Sidoarjo led by believers in 1903.
e. in Kediri led by Dermajaya in 1907.
